Celebrating Our Success

Throughout his career, Mr. Giles has helped to secure better education programs, services and treatment for hundreds of families and students.

Mr. Giles recently helped clients successfully challenge the proposed declassification of their deaf child with a cochlear implant, maintaining his right to an IEP and securing for them all the protections guaranteed under the IDEA.

Our office helped another family whose son with autism had been without a school placement and receiving almost no services for months – we helped him initially to receive ABA services in the home and eventually to be placed in a center-based ABA program.

Another family was recently helped by our office to challenge their son’s repeated suspensions from school and obtain independent evaluations and placement in an appropriate out-of-district school that could meet his special educational needs.

Mr. Giles helped a parent of an elementary-school-age child with severe dyslexia who is bright but cannot read to receive a Naples placement in a school that can provide the type of intensive reading instruction he needs.

Mr. Giles secured two favorable decision from the United States District Court and New Jersey Superior Court, Appellate Division, reversing the decision of an Administrative Law Judge and affirming that of the Commissioner of Education concluding that a student with an emotional disability who lived along a dangerous mountain road was entitled to curb-to-curb transportation to school.
